My research and teaching interests are principally in contemporary British and Anglophone drama, with special interests in adaptation studies and historiographic metatheatre. In literature classes, I have taught a wide variety of texts, including poetry, novels, film, and graphic novels, as well as teaching introduction to composition courses. I work extensively with critical theory, particularly psychoanalysis, performance studies, and Marxist political economics.
